Local 196 Advance Polling
For those members who cannot attend the Aug.6 Ratification vote at their home site, there will be an advance poll held at the Local 196 office on Thursday, July 31.
The Local 196 office is located on the 2nd floor of the All-Type office building at 11420 142 St. (across from the Telus World of Science). Polls will be open from 0830 to 1700.
Ratification Vote Information Meeting
Local 196 will be holding an information meeting regarding the upcoming Ratification Vote on the new proposed Collective Agreement. The Local requires the attendance all office reps or an alternate to pick up ratification packages containing information on the proposed Collective Agreement, directives on the voting process, current membership lists, and ballots.
The Information Meeting will take place at the Alberta Teachers Association, located at 11010 142 St, Room 140 on July 29, 2014 from 18:00 to 20:00 and will include a light dinner. Please RSVP via email to: dnielsen@una.ab.ca

Local 196 has room for 9 more Voting Delegates for the July 15 Reporting Meeting in Calgary. Any Local 196 members interested in attending, please email the Local President Joy Arntzen ASAP. Buses have been arranged to transport delegates to and from the meeting on July 15.
Urgent Delegate Meeting
Local 196 will be holding an urgent meeting on July 7, 2014.
The purpose of this meeting is to elect voting delegates to attend the UNA Reporting Meeting to be held in Calgary on July 15, 2014.
If you are interested in participating as a voting delegate, please download & complete the form below and attend the meeting on July 7, 2014 at The Alberta Teachers Association at 1800. Refreshments will be provided.
You MUST request and have received approval for an LOA to attend the meeting in Calgary on July 15, 2014.
