Local 196 has room for 9 more Voting Delegates for the July 15 Reporting Meeting in Calgary. Any Local 196 members interested in attending, please email the Local President Joy Arntzen ASAP. Buses have been arranged to transport delegates to and from the meeting on July 15.
Urgent Delegate Meeting
Local 196 will be holding an urgent meeting on July 7, 2014.
The purpose of this meeting is to elect voting delegates to attend the UNA Reporting Meeting to be held in Calgary on July 15, 2014.
If you are interested in participating as a voting delegate, please download & complete the form below and attend the meeting on July 7, 2014 at The Alberta Teachers Association at 1800. Refreshments will be provided.
You MUST request and have received approval for an LOA to attend the meeting in Calgary on July 15, 2014.

Urgent: Call for Local Meeting
Urgent call for a Local meeting to discuss the extended workday option for the new Strathcona Community Hospital.
According to the UNA Policies and Procedures, approval at a Local meeting is required for this change to take place. As our next Local meeting is not until October, we are scheduling the following meeting:
Monday May 12th at Fantasyland Hotel at 5pm, preceding our EI dinner. All members are invited to attend the meeting and must present a valid membership card or sign a membership form at the door. Duespayers will not be allowed entrance to the special meeting but are, of course, invited to attend the dinner, provided they have registered.
Anyone planning to attend the EI dinner after the meeting must have their registration in by midnight tonight, May 5th .
Please send an email to Local196Education@una.ab.ca if wanting to register for the dinner.
