Local 196 proudly welcomed Dr. Patch Adams for our
Nurses Week Education Dinner.
It was a evening to remember.
Over 400 nurses from Local 196 gathered together at Fantasyland Hotel May 9, 2017 for an evening of delicious food, great company, and a guest speaker we will talk about for years! Celebrating nurses and the work we do, Dr. Patch Adams shared his extensive life’s work in a entertaining and inspiring talk: “The Joy of Caring”. Dressed as a clown, Patch made us laugh and a few of us cry with his inspiring, worldly stories and the importance of caring for oneself. Our own Local President, Joy Arntzen, gave the audience a chuckle helping out Patch onstage in one of his ‘clowning acts’.
Check out some photos from the night!
Many thanks to the Local 196 Education Committee for planning an enjoyable evening! Stay tuned for details on the next Education Dinner.
