Two of our Local 196 members, Sharron Krill and Sandi Johnson, were honored to attend the recent Friends of Medicare 40th Anniversary Gala, on behalf of the Edmonton District Labour Council. Friends of Medicare was founded in 1979 by individuals and organizations committed to promoting and protecting public health care in Alberta. The Gala, held on September 26, was a fabulous event and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate 40 years of advancing the fight for public health care!
