Education Funding

A portion of the EI Rebate Fund surplus will provide education funding for Local 196 dues-payers for the 2025 fiscal year.

*New Process when Submitting EI Education Funding:

There is a new process for submitting EI Education Funding claims! This new portal, “EITF Claims,” can be found on DMS. 

To complete an EITF claim, click HERE

*You will need to submit the expense claim first.

After you press submit, you will be taken to a screen with options to attach the receipt and the completed EI fund application. To complete the application form, click HERE

This change was completed to increase efficiency in both submitting and receiving claims. The criteria and eligibility remain the same.

***This fund comprises monies obtained from EI Rebates via the employer held in Trust by Local 196. They are not Local 196 funds obtained through union dues and levies.***
